Ticketing Policies

  • All tickets are nonrefundable.
  • Exchanges are not guaranteed for non-subscribers and are at the discretion of MOH. Subscribers and Flex Pass members can exchange their tickets up to 24 hours prior to their scheduled performance date, and may ONLY exchange tickets for another performance date of the same show.
  • Ushers will check in Patrons by name at the door, so no physical tickets are necessary or provided.
  • Patrons may gift their ticket to another party who will check in under the name of the original ticket holder. At this time, we do not ask for ID.
  • For the sake of accountability, every person must have a ticket and occupy their own seat.

General Policies

  • Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to showtime so that we may properly accommodate you. Patrons who arrive after the show begins will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager. Latecomers may not be seated in their assigned seats.
  • When demand for seats is high, seats are subject to release 10 minutes prior to showtime at the discretion of the House Manager.
  • Memorial Opera House does NOT offer advisories about subject matter, as sensitivities may vary from person to person. As there is no official rating system for live performance, it is left up to Patrons to determine appropriateness.
  • For questions about content or stage effects (such as strobing lights or theatrical fog) that might have a bearing on patron comfort, please contact the Box Office.
  • At the discretion of the House Manager, patrons exhibiting disruptive behavior anywhere in Memorial Opera House may be asked to leave.
  • Please turn off all unnecessary devices prior to the performance. Photography and the use of recording devices in the theatre are strictly prohibited, unless otherwise specified. For instance, many concerts encourage the use of cameras & recording devices.
  • At Memorial Opera House, there is no official dress code. Our general rule of thumb is that you wear whatever allows you & fellow patrons to feel comfortable.
  • Exiting the building with an alcoholic beverage is strictly prohibited.
  • Indiana State Law prohibits smoking, including e-cigarettes and vaping devices, anywhere within the building or within 8 feet of the entrance.
  • Memorial Opera House or Valpo Parks staff and volunteers, as well as contract photographers and the media, may photograph or videotape patrons during your visit. These photos are for Memorial Opera House use only and may be used in Memorial Opera House publications or media promotions
  • For wheelchair seating, please arrive 1/2 hour before showtime so that we may properly accommodate you. For further inquiries about accessibility, visit our Accessibility page here or contact the Box Office.
  • Items found in the theatre after a performance will be stored in the Box Office for up to 30 days. To inquire about a lost item, please contact the Box Office.
  • Pursuant to the Valpo Parks Board meeting on January 28, tipping is prohibited at our venue. Our Point-of-Sale systems will not prompt patrons to leave a tip on credit card transactions, nor do we accept cash tips. While we sincerely appreciate the generosity of our guests, we kindly ask that any financial contributions be made as donations. All donations directly support Memorial Opera House, helping us enhance our facility and continue offering quality programming for the community.
