Accessibility

As Valparaiso's premier performing arts venue, it is important that Memorial Opera House productions are accessible to everyone in our community. 

  • A screenshot of an example of wheelchair & companion seating on the seating chart.Wheelchair and companion seating is available for every event. Wheelchair-accessible seats are clearly marked on the seating map with a wheelchair symbol, and companion seats with a "C". For any questions about seating, please contact the Box Office.
  • To help those with sensory sensitivities feel more comfortable in a stimulating environment, we provide sensory kits. These kits include noise cancelling headphones, nonverbal communication tools, and more. See the Box Office during any event to check one out.
  • Restrooms are located at the front entrance of the theater and at the balcony level.
  • A limited number of booster seats are available in the Box Office.
  • For those unfamiliar with, uncomfortable with, or unable to be with a typical theatre crowd, ask about Theater for a New Audience (TFNA).
