Ticket FAQ
| What are the Box Office hours? | Tickets can be purchased online, by phone, or in person; Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM at Valpo Parks Administration Office 3210 N Campbell St, Valparaiso, IN 46385. The Box Office opens at Memorial Opera House 2 hours before every show. Lounges are open to the public 1 hour before every show. Doors to the theatre open & seating begins 30 minutes prior to showtime. |
| What if I don't have physical tickets? | Ushers will check in Patrons by name at the door, so no physical tickets are necessary or provided for events. |
| What are 'Loge' seats? | Loge Seats are seats in small, separate boxes within the theatre. They are located to the left and right of stage front. |
| What is a Flex Pass? | A Flex Pass is a group of 4 tickets sold at a package price of 15% off regular ticket prices. After your purchase is complete you will receive a pass code to use online, over the phone, or wherever Memorial Opera House tickets are purchased. Flex Passes can only be used for Mainstage Shows, and last for 2 years. |
| What is a Subscription/Season Package? | A Subscription is a group of 4 tickets, 1 for each Mainstage Show, sold at a package price of 15% off regular ticket prices. The Subscriber chooses which day in the performance series (such as the first Saturday of each show run) and which seat they would like. When it is time to renew, the Subscriber's seat will automatically be held for the Subscriber until they choose not to renew. When a Subscriber chooses to renew, they will receive an additional 15% off the subscription price. Only available before the start of a Mainstage Season. |
| Is late seating permitted? | Yes, though patrons who arrive late will be seated at the discretion of the House Manager and may not be sat in their assigned seat. |
| Are there handling fees? | All taxes and fees are included in your ticket price. There are no additional charges. |
| Are children allowed? | We offer a wide range of programming and the age appropriateness varies. Out of courtesy for all audience members, children under the age of 2 are not permitted in the theatre. A limited amount of booster seats are available in the Box Office. |
| Can someone sit on my lap during the performance? | For the sake of accountability, every person must have a ticket and occupy their own seat. |
| Are gift cards available? | Yes. A Memorial Opera House gift card makes the perfect gift for any occasion. They may be purchased online, over the phone, at the Parks office, or at Memorial Opera House 2 hours prior to any ticketed event. |
| Are discounts available? | Yes. Senior/Student/Military tickets are sold at a discounted rate. City of Valparaiso employees are eligible for 4 discounted tickets. Group rates are available for theatre productions. Contact the Box Office here for more information. |
| Is there a dress code? | At a Memorial Opera House event, you will see all sorts of dress - from elegant cocktail attire to business casual and jeans. Our general rule of thumb is that you wear whatever allows you & fellow patrons to feel comfortable. |
| Are refreshments available? | Yes, we have two lounges equipped with a full service cash bar each. The lounges offer concessions & accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash. You are allowed to bring your beverages & concessions into the theatre. |
| Is there a Lost & Found? | Items found in the theatre after a performance will be stored in the Box Office for up to 30 days. To inquire about a lost item, please contact Memorial Opera House. |
