Volunteer Opportunities
Memorial Opera House is where the arts create community, and a critical part of that community is our volunteers. Without a strong, dedicated volunteer base, it would be very challenging for the Opera House to continue to be a beacon of the arts in northwest Indiana. Please consider giving your time and talents to support our mission by becoming a volunteer.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Ushering
- Box Office
- Set Building
- Stage Hands
- Lighting & Sound
- Costumes
- and of course, appearing on our stage in one of our mainstage productions!
Volunteer Requirements
- Age 16 or older. If you are under the age of 18, your parent/guardian must be present to sign the volunteer agreement and waiver of liability.
- Complete a Volunteer Application (see link below)
- Successfully complete a Volunteer Orientation
- Execute a Waiver Of Liability
- Submit to and satisfactorily pass a criminal background check.
Volunteer Orientation
Before you can begin serving as a volunteer, you must attend a Volunteer Orientation. Orientation sessions are scheduled by the Box Office Manager as needed on a periodic basis. You will be notified via email or phone regarding the next upcoming Orientation.
