February and March Pop Ups 2pm-5pm June Summer Camp 9am-12pm July Pop Ups- TBA
Memorial Opera House is delighted to reveal it's new youth theatre program, the LimeLights.
The LimeLights focus on the education, confidence, and creative growth of our youth through hands on theatrical experiences. Whether your child has aspirations of being on stage or behind the scenes we have a program to ignite their desired passions. Our classes are designed to assist in the progression of our students communication, presentation, and teamwork skills, as well as their empathy and confidence. One of our main focuses is education, however, more importantly we have developed an inclusive atmosphere for your child to come and have a blast!
School's Out - Theatre's In!!
Our summer camp will be one week long for each group. Our students will get a taste of what it is actually like to put on a full show. They will learn choreography, songs, staging, design, acting skills, and the inner workings of what it is like to run a show backstage. We have an inclusive, all hands on deck mentality and truly want our students to have a well-rounded and full experience. Lastly, it is a fantastic opportunity to get your children out, meeting new people, and encouraging them to find a creative outlet.
Session 1-"The Princess and the Pea" Students will focus on an original adaptation of "The Princess and the Pea". Join the adventures of Prince Awesomeness the 307th and Fiona the Shrekeriffic (who later becomes Fiona the Superterrific!) as they avoid the wiles of the Nasty Queen Blabbermouth! Students will learn the audition process, costume and set design, and present this side-splitting play for parents and family!
